Ryquin's teams pride themselves on being competitive. Past Ryquin teams have competed well in tournaments in San Francisco, the East Bay, Sacramento and Tahoe, including wins against Team Norcal, Tribe, Sacramento Heat and more. Each team/season is a little bit different, producing varying results, but the talented players that play for Ryquin repeatedly represent the Sacramento region well.
2. What can we expect from Ryquin's coaching staff?
Ryquin's staff will challenge our players to improve individually, become better teammates and learn to be a student of the game. Additionally, our coaches will reinforce the values of the game. We pride ourselves on having a great, experienced coaching staff from top to bottom. Each of our coaches has experience coaching the game, as well as extensive experience playing the game at a high level. Click here for more information on coaching staff.
3. How does Ryquin differ from other programs?
Ryquin partners the traits of professionalism and organization with a community atmosphere that comes with a family-run program. We are thrilled to promote a family environment that welcomes players, families and friends into the Ryquin community. Additionally, we are the only summer program in Sacramento to provide multiple boys and girls teams at the same time. We practice hard and compete at every whistle, while having fun on and off the field.
4. Will Ryquin help my son/daughter become a better player?
Our goals are to make sure that each player enjoys their experience with Ryquin and is a better player after the season. Former players have elevated their game at every level: making the team, earning a starting position, making the Varsity or moving on to play in college. Ryquin players have gone on to earn All-American honors, First team All League, Offensive Player of the Year, Most Outstanding Player of the Year, and more. Click here to see how former Ryquin players continue to excel.
5. How much playing time will my son/daughter receive?
All players will receive playing time at practice and in the tournaments. Ryquin maintains appropriately sized teams to provide opportunity for all players. However, not all players will receive equal playing time. In order to maintain the competitive nature of the program, players earn their playing time. Coaches will determine playing time based on a number of factors: skill level, effort, attitude, ability to grasp team concepts, and more.
